I started creating stories long before I could write. And while I was encouraged to be creative, I was also expected to be practical.
So my academic career had one specific trajectory: law school.
Once I got there, I crashed and burned.
After various turns as an English professor and translator and copyeditor for UNESCO, I went back to my first love.
A couple years later, with a wonderful support system, my work has won awards and I’ve signed with a great literary agency.
I’m more than grateful for the help I’ve received. That’s why I want to pay it forward.
