I’m more than ready

One evening, after Karim had made a light dinner, she decided she felt well enough to go for a swim in the heated pool. There was a light breeze coming in from the Pacific, so the temperature of the water was even more relaxing. While he finished cleaning the kitchen, she slipped away to change into her bikini. She didn’t say anything to him, and he didn’t ask, thinking that she was going to get some rest. She grabbed a towel, and for the first time in days, thought to pick up her phone. She realized it was the longest she had gone without using it in she didn’t know how long, and smiled, remembering how her dragon had protected her from even that.

She’d been outside for a little while, and done a few laps when he came out to see her.

“There you are.” He said, a smile on his face. “I wondered where you’d disappeared to.”

“Hey gorgeous.” She said.

“You look like you’re feeling a bit better.”

“I am, thank you.” She said. She swam to the edge to talk to him. “Want to join me?” She was moving, and he didn’t realize that she’d reached down to untie her bottom.

“I’d like to, but I’m beat. And I think my suit is still wet.”

“That’s too bad.” She said. She was quiet a moment, her head cocked to one side looking at him. “I miss you, you know.”

“You miss me? What do you mean? I’m right here.”

She pulled her bikini bottom out of the water, let it plop in a puddle on the deck.

“No, silly.” She said, shaking her head, her hand reaching behind her back to untie the top. “I miss you.”

His eyes widened. He took a second look at her bikini bottom as it was joined by the top. She smiled at him again as she pushed herself away from the edge.

“Are you sure you won’t join –“ she was cut off by her own laugh. He’d ripped his shirt off and was taking off his jeans, his sly grin making an appearance. She swam closer to the opposite edge, laughing as he dove in and came towards her. She let him get close, then took off in another direction, giggling at his surprise when he came up at the spot where she’d just been.

“Isadora…” he said, a bit of a warning in his voice. “There you are!” He dove under to swim at her again, and she darted away, starting a chase around the pool. After a few more twists and darts, she felt him catch her ankle under the water. She didn’t fight, let him glide his hands up her leg, then giggled again as he blew bubbles along her stomach on his way up to the surface. He popped up, smiling and his arms were around her.

“Hi.” He said.

“Hello.” She replied.

“How are you?” His sly grin was back.

“Better now.” She said. She put her arms around his shoulders and kissed him. It was a long, deep kiss, made a little bit complicated by the way they had to move their legs to stay afloat. But she savored it, thinking how good it felt to be close to him, to be naked in his arms, to feel his body against hers again.

“Are you sure, baby?” he asked when they came up for air.

“Yes. You don’t want to?”

“I do, I really, really do. It’s been tough holding myself back from you. But I don’t want to pressure you, or for you to feel uncomfortable if you’re not ready.”

“I’m ready, Karim.” She said. “I’m more than ready. I miss you.”

“Mmm…” he moaned, kissing her again.

They were already floating towards the shallow end and the stairs.

“I want you, Karim.” She sighed, their feet touching the bottom.

“I need you, Isadora.” He sighed back.

She was able to stand first, taking his hand and turning to walk out of the water. He held back a little, and when she turned back to see why, she caught him looking at her body as it became visible to him again. She giggled and turned to face him, walking backwards so he could get a good look. He hissed, taking in her breasts, her stomach. She stopped right before the water passed her waist. He looked up into her eyes.

“Tease.” He said, smiling.

He scooped her up and carried her to the edge of the pool, her legs wrapped around his waist. She felt him, hard against her lips. She wiggled her hips a little, grinding herself against him. He sighed and shook his head.

“Not so fast, beautiful. You know what I have to do first.” He sat her down gently on the edge. She sighed, licked her lips.

“Well baby, I guess you have to do what you have to do.”
